Directions

Directing is not the same as navigating. Remember that you are in a square box, that doesn't always fit into a round space. Usually, the director will take a position outside to guide the other into making a wide enough turn, or avoiding backing into a tree.

The law of run RVing is that you cannot turn this into a shouting match. If this driver/director follows the norm of male/female then the macho male had best learn beforehand that the person standing in clear view in your rear view mirror is totally in charge. Think of it, if you have to, as the guy directing a landing on an aircraft carrier, or the boss of a boom swinging 10 tons at the end of a crane. Overriding her suggestions (because you just know better) is a sure fired way to put a crease in the side of you home, or puncture a black-water holding tank.

She also has an ante-macho instinct as to when to uncouple your dingy and drive ahead scouting muffler eating rocks, and safe turnarounds. Her suggestion, if you do find yourself in a too tight of a turn to unhook the car being towed, is also very valid. Most likely she also, when studying campers catalogs made the comment that an easy-on easy -off tow bar seemed to be worth a few extra dollars... is right.
