What Should Be A Motorhome Travelers Answer To Global Warming?

A
m I paranoid about questions as to feeling guilty about global warming? Of my carbon footprint? Of course I am. I took my grandson to see country-boy Tennessean Al Gore’s —right on—film a few weeks ago. As I am an Alaskan now, having supposedly escaped north from control freaks long enough ago to have witnessed receding glaciers actually happening, my answer to Ty who is learning  (www.AlaskaTravelMagazine.com/1flying/fly-in-fishing.html), how to survive, was don’t buy into the politics of pointing fingers. "You will find," I advised my inheritor of the over-population of the human species, "that when the time comes where drought, flooding, famine cause a natural die-out of greedy men and women —no matter what their special message, or behind the scenes actions— those who are truly connected to Mother Earth will not perish."

My answer to a peaceful, continued existence is,logically, we all live as fulltime motorhomers. Beyond that, having experienced the First World Fuel Crisis (FWFC-OPEC) let's all poke along at my usual 50-miles an hour, even when making a connection via freeway, enjoying the journey.  Don’t worry about your reputation, as active young people in a hurry seem to think going slow has something genetically to do with grey hair.  Do as I do— just wave a handful of fingers back— their greeting multiplied by four.

We also are leading the way, making do with a worn out landscape a day or two longer, recycling, before moving on to change the wallpaper.  It’s a tough life appreciating and photographing the beauty of a free America before it’s all off limits, or legally going back to traveling by horseback. I need your help. Don’t let the Sierra Club stop you. Protest by parking where “our kind,” isn’t wanted.
